Declaration:

I/We, the Province of Manitoba, hereby declare our commitment to the State of Minnesota as follows:

  1. We commit to welcoming Minnesota not as a subordinate territory, but as a full and equal partner in our family.
  2. We commit to respecting Minnesota's existing culture, traditions, and identity. The State Fair will continue. Hotdish will be honored. "Minnesota Nice" will be recognized as compatible with Canadian politeness.
  3. We commit to providing stable, reliable infrastructure including healthcare, power, and transportation connections.
  4. We commit to never forgetting about Minnesota, overlooking Minnesota, or confusing Minnesota with Wisconsin.
  5. We commit to joint stewardship of our shared waters, forests, and natural resources.
  6. We commit to hockey - at all levels, for all ages, forever.
  7. We commit to being patient. We understand this is a big decision. We will not pressure Minnesota. We will simply remain here, friendly and welcoming, whenever they are ready.

 

This commitment is made freely and without coercion.
