What if AI could learn from citizens instead of training data?

Most AI implementations fail because they ask a general-purpose model to reason about complex domains it doesn't understand. Healthcare policy. Economic ripple effects. Infrastructure dependencies. The model guesses. It hallucinates. It sounds confident while being wrong.

We built something different.

RIPPLE is a crowdsourced causal knowledge layer. For every civic topic on our forums—healthcare, employment, infrastructure, justice—there's a dedicated thread where citizens document one thing: what else does this affect, and why?

Not "healthcare affects employment." That's useless.

But "hospital closures cause staff relocation, which reduces customer base for local restaurants—three businesses closed within a year of the ER shutting down in [town]." That's knowledge.

The community validates with votes. AI scores for causal clarity. The system extracts relationships. And when a student in our Ducklings simulation proposes an 8% healthcare cut, they don't see a generic warning—they see community-sourced impacts weighted by evidence and consensus.

The AI doesn't reason about policy. It reads what humans have validated and structures it. That's a fundamentally different approach—and it gets more accurate every time someone contributes.

We're not building artificial intelligence. We're building amplified intelligence.

Test 1: RIPPLE threads built          [PASS] Found 2262 RIPPLE thread(s)
Test 2: Quality fields on comment_forum [PASS] All 5 quality fields present
Test 3: Relationships table exists     [PASS] Table exists
Test 4: Goldeneye API connectivity     [PASS] Goldeneye API is responding
Test 5: Quality processor service      [PASS] Quality processor available
Test 6: Extraction processor service   [PASS] Extraction processor available
Test 7: REST API endpoint             [PASS] API responding (returned 2 impacts)

RIPPLE pipeline is now operational, Data migration to commence.

SUMMARY path is being excluded from FAE process, to ensure tha tonly valid comments are captured.  A cron job will be set for article regeneration based on the results from the topic general forums.

RIPPLE topics will be parsed for integration into ducklings and to increase accuracy of predictive analytics.
