SUMMARY - Police & Mental Health Response
A mother calls 911 because her son is in psychiatric crisis, pacing the house, talking to people who are not there, and she is frightened for him and for herself. Within minutes, police officers arrive, uniformed, armed, trained to secure scenes and neutralize threats. Her son sees them and panics.
